Áine Phillips - “Re-Enactions (from a love affair)”

Die Performance “Re-Enactions (from a love affair)” ist ein gesprochener Monolog, der anhand von Aktionen, Gesten und Bewegungen Ereignisse und Erfahrungen aus dem Leben der Künstlerin repräsentiert. Die Entwicklung einer Liebesbeziehung wird in Szene gesetzt: Von der ersten Anziehung zur Erfüllung, schließlich zur Auflösung und Transformation. Die Arbeit bietet eine Multi-Media-Performance aus Video, Tonaufnahmen, live gespielter Handlung und gesprochenem Text. Während der Performance sitzt oder steht das Publikum im Kreis um die Künstlerin herum.

Vier Videoarbeiten der Künstlerin ergänzt durch Objekte der Live-Performance und Tonaufzeichnungen bilden die Rauminstallation für die Ausstellung. Diese Videos zeigen Bilder von Liebesbriefen, überlegt mit Tränen, verschlungenen brennenden Ringen, einen Frauenmund, der mit Blumen kopuliert, einem liegenden Männerkörper in einem schwimmenden Bett. Ein weiteres Doppelbett, dessen Bezüge an die Tintenklecksbilder der Psychoanalyse erinnern, bilden ein Kernstück der Installation, so auch die Bühne für „Re-Enactions“ oder Skulpturen und das Kostüm, das während der Live-Performance getragen wurde.

The performance “Re-Enactions (from a love affair)” is a spoken monologue using actions, gestures and movements to represent events and experiences from the artists life. The trajectory of a love affair is re-enacted through the performance from its beginnings in attraction to consummation, final dissolution and transformation. The work is a multi-form performance incorporating video, recorded sound, live action and spoken words. During the performance the audience is sitting and standing in a circle around the artist.

The installation consists of four projectors beaming video works onto the walls. These videos show images of love letters mottled with tear drops, intertwined burning rings, a woman's mouth making love to flowers, a supine man's body in a floating bed. Another double bed draped in sheets dyed to resemble 'ink blot' test images from psychoanalysis is a centre piece of the installation, the stage used for "Re-Enactions" along with sculptural objects and the costume worn during the live performance.

Performance “Re-Enactions (from a love affair)” je govorjen monolog, ki se poslužuje akcij, gest in gibanja in predstavlja dogodke in izkušnje iz življenja umetnice. Razvoj ljubezenskega razmerja postavi v sceno. Od prve privlačnosti do izpolnitve, nazadnje do razdružitve in transformacije. Delo nudi multimedijsko performance iz videa, tonskih posnetkov, v živo igranega dogajanja in govorjenega besedila. Med performance občinstvo sedi ali stoji okoli umetnice.

Štiri dela na videu, ki jih dopolnjujejo objekti iz performance v živo in tonski posnetki, tvorijo prostorsko instalacijo za razstavo. Ti video posnetki kažejo ljubezenska pisma, ki jih prekrivajo solze, prepleteni, goreči prstani, ženska usta, ki kopulirajo z rožami, ležeče moško telo in plavajočo posteljo. Prevleka zakonske postelje, ki spominja na packe črnila v psihoanalizi, je jedro instalacije, pa tudi oder za „Re-Enactions“ ali skulpture in kostum, ki ga je umetnica nosila med performance v živo.
